Afternoon Tea

At "Lisa's Tea Treasures" in Menlo Park.

I ordered an "Afternoon Tea in England." They are all big!

The dessert was huge too!!

It is just like America.

Summons!?

I'v received a letter from the United States District Court!!
This made me nervous if I did something wrong like a speeding offence.

The letter was "Juror Qualification Questionnaire"!!

This is amazing...it's only one year since I came to the United States.
I really have the luck of the draw.
I'm not a citizen and I'm not good at English.
But do I still have a qualification for juror!?

The jury system will start soon in Japan too.

*summons=an official order to appear somewhere, especially in a court of law
*juror=a member of a jury
*jury=a group of twelve people who listen to details of a case in court and decide whether someone is guilty or not

50g yogurt
50g milk
120g flour

and just mix!!
I put some Ghirardelli's chocolate chips which my friend also gave me.

Mini Doily

I crocheted these doilies using hemp twine dyed by plant.

I like the yellow one.

The hemp is said that environment-friendly plant which doesn't need agricultural chemicals or fertilizer to grow.

I brought these hemp twines from Japan. I looked for them in a craft shop here, but I couldn't find.

Lake Tahoe

I enjoyed canoeing in Lake Tahoe.

The color of water was beautiful! But the water was cold:(

This is a dawn of Emerald Bay. A small island in the middle is Fannette Island. In the island, there is a tea house like a castle where wealthy people used to come to have a tea time by a boat.
We had a great breakfast! I had a today's special, Strawberry pancake. It was very good! The amazing thing is...they were free! This "Full American Breakfast" was included in a room charge of our hotel. I heard the "full breakfast" for the first time in the States.
